Since 2008, VIVA! Photo Awards has successfully promoted Polish photography and enjoys great recognition and popularity. The exhibitions were hosted in the largest cities in Poland, and the winners of VIVA! Photo Awards received some of the best titles in the world. This competition is a chance to select the most talented photographers who, thanks to the win, get a chance for dynamic development.

This year’s edition, like every year, collected thousands of entries sent by amateurs and professionals. The jury was composed of: chairman - Ryszard Horowitz, photocomposer, editor-in-chief of VIVA! Katarzyna Przybyszewska, artistic director of VIVA! Marek Knap and photographers: Marcin Kydryński, Jacek Bonecki and Sandro Miller – photograph of John Malkovich.

The eighth edition of VIVA! Photo Awards was settled on the pages of the VIVA! biweekly and the official awarding ceremony took place on November 8 at the Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. It attracted photographers as well as lovers of this unique art form. There guests were, among others, Piotr Najsztub, Hanna Bakuła, Gosia Baczyśka and Małgorzata Potocka. The meeting was graced by the performance of outstanding artists: Janusz Olejniczak, Sebastian Karpiel- Bułecka and Andrzej Bachleda-Curuś.

The Grand Prix in the "Sport Reportage" category went to Paweł Piotrwoski for his series of photos - "Surfers". The honorable mention of FUJIFILM went to Luc Kordas for his series of photos titled "Boxers". Among the prize-winners there were Dawid Ziemba (category: fashion), Aleksandra Komarzeniec-Piss (category: cooking), Andrzej Bocheński (category: beauty), Piotr Kosiński (category: portrait), and Luc Kordas (category: portrait).
The exhibition of photographs can be viewed until December 1 at the Winter National Park, Al. Księcia Józefa Poniatowskiego 1 and in the Flaming & Co. restaurant, ul. Fryderyk Chopin 5 in Warsaw. The partner of the exhibition is Cisowianka Perlage.
