2017-05-16 Fiera di Brescia opens its doors to hundreds of vintage cars

On May 16, 2017, just two days before the start of the Mille Miglia, Fiera di Brescia opened its gates for over 450 historic cars from around the world. In this great hall, in the light of the afternoon sun rays, there began meticulous car inspections that were to start this year’s race.

Models of cars competing in the Most Beautiful Race of the World had to take part in the original struggle, or race between 1927 and 1957. It is not easy to maintain a car in a condition that allows to take part in such a demanding race, but as you can see, there are enthusiasts who make this come true. Both Aston Martin DB 2/4 from 1955, which will be driven by Dorota and Krzysztof Weka, as well as Aston Martin 15/98 from 1937 with Marian Stoch and Bartosz Balicki behind the wheel, have successfully passed the last inspections, received stickers with starting numbers and are calmly waiting for the official car sealing ceremony tomorrow. Some cars submitted to Mille Miglia have to wait until tomorrow for their inspection, so we will only know the final starting list after all the inspections have been made.

In addition, during the press conference held today, it was announced that the crews participating this year will include several well-known faces. In the Red Arrow race, we will see, among others, Adrian Sutil - race driver, chef and jurist of the MasterChef program Joe Bastianich or Italian TV presenter Diletta Leotta.
